Carole Powers Gordon is a graduate of Moore College of Art and Design. She began her career in the late 1960’s designing and making dresses for the ladies of the Philadelphia Main Line as well as planning and executing all of the details of their dinner parties.
In 1978, Carole began a catering business in New York City. She dazzled her clientele with her food, flowers, design and calligraphy. While based in New York, Carole masterminded Broadway opening parties, corporate soirees, and product launches in addition to producing wedding ceremonies, receptions and catering to the stars.
In 1985, Carole moved back home to the Philadelphia area. She continued doing business, pouring all of her energies into designing and creating hand painted napkins, tablecloths, aisle runners, dance floors, and other appurtenances for parties – making a party designed by Carole Powers Gordon stand apart from any other.
Carole’s unique offerings opened the door to new clients and now a days she is not only working in the Philadelphia and New York City areas, but travels to Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, California and Nevada, creating spectacular events along the way.
Over the years, Carole’s work has been featured in New York Magazine, Vogue, Town and Country, Victoria, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Weddings, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style and other publications. Carole’s work also appears in Martha Stewarts Weddings.
Carole continues to be tirelessly dedicated to designing flowers, and producing events for every palate, from unpretentious to ostentatious.
